Tehran (Iran), October 29: The governor of Iran's Shiraz city announced on Friday that a bombing attempt in one of the busiest areas in the southern city was foiled, official IRNA news agency reported.
On Thursday night, a person tried to detonate a bomb in Maali Abad street, but he failed with the vigilance of security and law enforcement forces, LotfollahSheibani told IRNA.
The police will release the arrested bomber's identity and more details about the bombing attempt after investigations, Sheibani said.
On Wednesday evening, an armed man attacked worshippers in the shrine of Shahcheragh in Shiraz city, killing 15 people and injuring dozens.
