Phnom Penh [Cambodia], August 22: Addressing the opening session of the 7th National Assembly of Cambodia, King Norodom Sihamoni expressed confidence in the new government and the future of the country.
The Khmer Times reported on August 22 that Cambodia's King Norodom Sihamoni said he strongly believes that the new government of Mr. Hun Manet , who is about to be approved as prime minister by the National Assembly, will lead the country to a prosperous future.
Speaking at the opening session of the first session of the 7th National Assembly on August 21, King Sihamoni said: "Along with the socio-economic growth rate, I am confident that the new Royal Cambodian government will receive trust. of the National Assembly and fulfill its responsibilities in the implementation of policies".
He expressed confidence that the new government will continue to encourage economic growth, improve people's living conditions, and build and strengthen the social security system.
"I am sure that every citizen will be engaged in a culture of development and sustainability to ensure the sustainability of national identity and promote socio-economic growth in accordance with the promotion of religion. virtue for social harmony", according to the King of Cambodia .
He added that Cambodia has transformed itself from a war-torn country into a stable, democratic and progressive kingdom since the National Assembly was re-established in 1993.

After the king's speech, the parliament had a session chaired by one of the veteran MPs, Mr. HengSamrin (89 years old) to declare the legal status of each member.
