Former U.S. presidential candidate TulsiGabbard leaves Democratic Party

Washington [US], October 12: Former U.S. presidential candidate TulsiGabbard announced on Tuesday that she's leaving the Democratic Party.
Gabbard, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for the White House in 2020 while serving in Congress, made the announcement in a video clip posted on social media.
The former U.S. lawmaker representing Hawaii's 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021 sharply criticized the Democratic Party, accusing it of "dragging us ever closer to nuclear war."
Gabbard, 41, has grown increasingly estranged from the Democratic establishment since the failed presidential bid two years ago and appeared frequently on conservative Fox News programs.
