New Delhi [India], October 26: In a thrilling culmination of India's pioneering talent hunt for professional hairdressers, the Streax Professional Times India Hair Style Icon 2023 competition has now entered its grand finale. Following successful semi-finals held in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Kolkata, this spectacular showdown is scheduled to take place during the 12th edition of Bombay Times Fashion Week on October 29, 2023. Over thousands of entries that poured in across 60 cities, top 200 hairdressers were selected to perform at the zonal semi-finals, from which 12 finalists (3 from each region) will be performing at BTFW at The St. Regis Mumbai.
In the West zone, we have Rohit Bandewar from Nagpur, Maharashtra, Rohan Bhatiya from Panchmahal, Gujarat, and Kunal Verma from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Pushkar Sen of Udaipur, Rajasthan, Mohammad Kaleem of Trilokpuri, Uttarakhand, and Shahrukh Salmani of Delhi represent the North zone. Fareed Ahmad and Mahboob Ali are both from Bangalore, Karnataka, and Vinod Govindbaksh is from Hyderabad, Telangana. Finally, Tuleswar Doley of Guwahati, Assam, and Bikash Sharma of Howrah, West Bengal, represent the East and North East zones. Manish Kumar from Chatra, Jharkhand, rounds up the list of deserving candidates.
The Grand Finale promises to be an unforgettable affair as the competition format has been designed and will be judged by renowned international celebrity stylists, including Vipul Chudasma, Yolly Ten Koppel, Savio John Pereira, and Joakim Roos. Adding to the excitement, a team of technical experts from Streax Professional will also be in attendance.
In preparation for the grand showdown, the finalists will undergo grooming and mentoring sessions from October 25, 2023 in Mumbai. This crucial stage will serve to fine-tune their skills and elevate their artistry to new heights. The culmination of their hard work and dedication will take center stage at the pre finale show styled by veteran designer Samant Chauhan on October 2023 Sunday at 8 p.m. at Bombay Times Fashion Week
