Naypyidaw (Myanmar), December 11: Myanmar's Health Ministry on Friday announced lifting a stay-at-home order in eight more townships as fewer COVID-19 infections were recently seen in the townships.
The stay-at-home order will be removed in townships in Magway region, Kachin, Chin, Mon and Shan states on Saturday, the announcement said.
According to the ministry's release on Friday, Myanmar reported 274 new COVID-19 cases with eight more deaths in the past 24 hours.
The number of COVID-19 infections has increased to 526,024 while its death toll has risen to 19,170 so far.
As of Friday, 502,325 patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 5.76 million samples have been tested for COVID-19.
Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 cases on March 23 last year.
