Ramallah (Palestine) Feb 20: Hundreds of Palestinians and Israeli soldiers clashed on Friday in several West Bank areas in protest against the Israeli settlement activities, according to Palestinian medical sources.
The sources said that one Palestinian protester was injured by Israeli soldiers' gunfire and dozens suffered suffocation after inhaling teargas in the village of KafrQaddum, near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya.
Another Palestinian was injured by Israeli gunfire during clashes in the village of Beit Dajan, east of the West Bank city of Nablus.
Witnesses at Beit Dajan village said Israeli soldiers dispersed hundreds of Palestinians to make room for the construction of a new Israeli settlement outpost, adding that Israeli soldiers opened fire toward the protesters, hitting one with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the foot.
Currently, KafrQaddum and Beit Dajan villages have become a scene for weekly protests against the Israeli settlement activities.
