Bucharest [Romania], November 7: The first edition of Robofest technology festival concluded on Sunday in Bucharest, capital of Romania, with hundreds of robots and their inventors presented at the four-day event.
The 13th edition of Robochallenge, one of the biggest international robotics competitions in Europe initiated by Romania, was held during the event.
More than 600 participants from 16 countries, mostly from Europe, have brought over 500 robots to compete for the prizes offered.
Politehnica University of Bucharest, the organizer of the event, said they hope the festival could become a reference event in the fields of Industry 4.0, automation, artificial intelligence and robotics.
In partnership with student associations, the event aims to create a space where science combines with the inventiveness of young people, the university said.
The university estimated that over 30,000 students, pupils and teachers participated in the technology festival held on its campus.
