UN chief saddened by death of Tanzanian president

United Nations, March 19: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was saddened by the death of Tanzanian President John Magufuli, said Guterres' spokesman on Thursday.
Guterres extended his deepest condolences to the president's family and to the government and people of Tanzania, said Stephane Dujarric, the spokesman, in a statement.
Magufuli, who had served as Tanzania's president since 2015, died on Wednesday at the age of 61.
