Hanoi [Vietnam], February 14: Twenty-eight years after their founding (March 4, 1998), the band Quả Dưa Hấu (Watermelon) officially announced a music project titled ' The Memoir', marking the reunion of Bằng Kiều, Tuấn Hưng, and Anh Tú (Tú Dưa). Beyond just two concert nights, this comeback is further solidified by a series of new compositions.
It's not just about returning through memories.
Opening the press conference in Hanoi, Anh Tú - representing the production company - emphasized: "When we decided that the band Quả Dưa Hấu (Watermelon) would return, we thought it wouldn't just be with two concerts. We needed new products. And Hồ Hoai Anh and Ha Quang Minh penned ' Unstoppable' in a very short time."
Speaking about the new song, Bang Kieu shared: "The song conveys the message that after so many years, each person may have experienced many ups and downs, joys and sorrows, successes and failures in life, but they should never stop. We will continue to persevere and dedicate ourselves to music."
Journalist Ha Quang Minh, who wrote the lyrics for "Unstoppable" and " Give Me One More Chance ," said he clearly saw the images of all three members in the song: "I believe nothing can stop them. Maybe I wanted to dedicate this song specifically to Tuan Hung , but actually I see all three of them in it."
He added: "When Ho Hoai Anh suggested writing a song that was a bit masculine, I listened to it and thought we should conclude with that English phrase - ' Unstoppable '. Because that's exactly their spirit."
Tuan Hung: We were as nervous as the first time.
Alongside the powerful spirit of Unstoppable , the song "Thank You Music," composed by Tung Sax, carries a more contemplative tone.
Bang Kieu was moved, saying, "Thank you to everyone who has been in each other's lives, since we were young men. Thank you to family and friends who have accompanied the careers of the three of us brothers."
Tuan Hung admitted that this event was more special than any stage he had ever performed on: "Today, the 'Watermelon' group is trembling with excitement and happiness, just like the first time. I've been singing for many years, and I rarely get nervous, but this time I'm shaking uncontrollably. What we're bringing today isn't to evoke memories, but to begin a new era - for men who have passed the time of romance, and now just want to sing to beautify life."
